Who runs this
I work in cybersecurity. I started Pause Before Send because people lose real money to crypto scams, and those scams follow repeatable patterns. This site explains them plainly, with a source for every claim.
Here you get a weekly scam log, plain-language explainers on how each scam works and how to avoid it, and a free data page you can cite. Posts are AI-assisted and human-reviewed by me before they go up.

How we work
- Sources first. Every factual claim links to an agency, a company statement, a court filing, the security firm that first reported it, or a named news outlet. Anything we couldn't confirm is marked "Uncertain."
- AI-assisted, human-reviewed. An AI assistant helps with research, drafting and layout. A human checks every claim against its source and approves every page and email. Each page footer names the reviewer and the review date.
- Dated corrections. When we fix something, the page's changelog records what changed and when. We don't change a date without a real edit.
- Things we never do: coin or price calls; exchange or trading referrals; affiliate links on scam alerts; calling a named private person a scam without an official source; DMing you first; asking for a recovery phrase.

Corrections and tips: [email protected]. We fix errors with a dated note.
On X: @aotlwbox. We will never DM you first. Any account that does, claiming to be us, is fake.
